  • The Moses Mabhida Stadium

    Starting with TDAF host venue the Moses Mabhida Stadium built in 2010 for the Soccer World Cup, the stadium houses the tallest swing in the world. The Big Rush Swing “allows you to take the thrilling leap swinging into a massive 220m arc where you soar into the centre of the stadium”, was officially named the world’s tallest swing by the Guinness book of records in 2011.

    You can also get on the SkyCar ride to catch the magnificent 360º view of Durban from the stadium or take the Adventure Walk up to the top of the 106m high arch. All walkers of the leisurely 20-min walk are issued with safety equipment and under a watchful eye of a qualified instructor

    Grab a bite to eat or have a cocktail in one of 4 restaurants surrounding the Moses Mabhida Stadium’s People’s Park. The park provides visitors with outdoor activities suitable for the whole family. You can cruise the park in your rented kart or electric bicycle.

  • The Golden Mile

    Also known as “The mile” is one of the main travel attractions in the Durban area. An 8 Km stretch of beach fronts running from “The Blue Lagoon” to the Point Waterfront. Along the route is the promenade with the uMngeni river running alongside it, the Suncoast Casino and Entertainment World, a direct route to Moses Mabhida Stadium, multiple food spots along on the north, swimming pools, a game park, rickshaw rides which are the oldest transport entertainment in Durban dating to 1902 along the south all the way to the deep South where uShaka Marine World is located. On the southernmost point you can enjoy food, drinks and a view of the ships

  • The Victoria Street Market

    Durban’s oldest market The Victoria Street Market is situated in central Durban amongst many other historically significant structures including The Juma Masjis Mosque, the Emmanuel Cathedral, The Early Morning Market, and the Ghandi Library. These sites played significant roles in the struggle that formed the foundation of South Africa’s democracy.

    The market is a blend of Zulu and Indian culture with over 200 stalls specializing in regalia, spices, food, meat & fresh seafood, and souvenirs.

  • The Tugela Falls

    Located in the Royal Natal Park and part of the Tugela River, the falls are arguably the tallest waterfalls in the world, with an uninterrupted leap of 1,350 feet (411 meters) and a total drop of 3,110 feet (947 meters)

  • The Vodacom Durban July

    Each year TDAF will run concurrently with Vodacom Durban July, a weekend event that sees thousands of racehorse and fashion enthusiasts flocking into Durban from all around the world for the annual horse racing event and celebrations surrounding the event.
