The inaugural KZN Art Fair took place 6-9 August 2026 at Hilton College in the KZN Midlands, in partnership with the Hilton Arts Festival - which is now in its 34th year.
2027 dates are 13-15 August.

Driven by curiosity and shaped by a critical edge, the KZN Art Fair brings together bold ideas, thoughtful practice and the creative energy of KwaZulu-Natal. Built with purpose by a team of KZN-based practitioners, the fair creates a space where artists, galleries, collectors and audiences can meet, question and engage with contemporary art.
Spotlight Artist

The KZN Art Fair Spotlight Artist is an annual honorary feature celebrating an artist with strong connections to KwaZulu-Natal whose practice has achieved significant recognition.
Each year, the Spotlight foregrounds the work and trajectory of an artist who has emerged from, worked within, or been shaped by KwaZulu-Natal. It is an opportunity to celebrate an artist’s practice and journey, while recognising the important role the province and its creative communities have played in their development.
The Artist Spotlight reflects the KZN Art Fair’s commitment to recognising the artists connected to this region who are contributing to contemporary art locally and beyond.
